FNB CUT vs FNB Shimlas match postponed until 21 February due to waterlogged field
The FNB Varsity Cup presented by Steinhoff International match between FNB CUT and FNB Shimlas has been postponed until 21 February due to heavy rainfall causing a waterlogged field at the CUT Stadium. A venue will be communicated on the day.

NWU-Pukke storm to victory with a brilliant comeback, 20-13
It was the FNB NWU-Pukke’s night, after their defeat against the FNB Maties last Monday, as they made a comeback in Round Four of the FNB Varsity Cup presented by Steinhoff International against the FNB Ikeys with a win of 20-13 at the Fanie Du Toit Stadium.

FNB UCT-Ikeys 21 vs 12 FNB CUT

The FNB Ikey Tigers ended their winless run in the FNB Varsity Cup presented by Steinhoff International as they finished off a sweeping move which saw Rayno Mapoe carrying the ball the length of the field to beat FNB CUT 21-12 at a windy Green Mile.

The FNB Ikey Tigers started well with the wind behind them, and their early pressure paid off as Hablutzel scored their first try of the day in the eight minute. FNB CUT then began working their way back into the game, systematically gaining territory and showing signs of their attacking threat as Darren Adonis had the chance to stretch his legs for the first time.

FNB Shimlas stun FNB Wits in their backyard

The FNB Varsity Cup Presented by Steinhoff International kicked off in Johannesburg, with a mouthwatering clash between FNB Wits and FNB UFS at rather wet Wits Rugby Stadium. FNB UFS lived up to their favourites tag, as they managed to stun FNB Wits 21-26, in a game that could have gone either way. The game carried a lot of excitement around campus as students returned to back their boytjies.
