Brussow badly injured
A knee injury has ruled Heinrich Brussow out of the remainder of the Super 14 and possibly the rest of the year.
In the last movement of the Cheetahs’ 28-12 victory over the Hurricanes last Saturday, Brussow tore a cruciate knee ligament in a final tackle attempt. He was put on a stretcher and carried off the field. Assistant coach Hawies Fourie said: ‘Heinrich will definitely miss the Super 14 and could be out of the Currie Cup as well. We will hear the results from the doctors after his surgery tomorrow but they have ruled him out for six months at least’.
