    Qualifications/Studies: Technical College – Mechanical
    What other sports do you play? Surfing
    Pets: I have a Rhodesian Ridgeback (Lincoln) and a Jack Russell (Zulu) – they are my kids

    About the player… Another recent centurion for the Sharks, AJ Venter’s leadership qualities came to the fore in the Sharks’ Currie Cup campaign last year, and his Springbok recall, and subsequent injury proved to be a big loss for the Sharks in the latter stages of the competition. A recognised and respected hard man of Sharks rugby, he has a Tri-Nations and Currie Cup winners medal and will look to add Super 14 and Rugby World Cup ones to his collection in 2007.
